About Rugcomf
What this site is, where its numbers come from, and what it does not know.
What we publish
This is a catalogue of the Rugcomf range of machine washable rugs, built for the United States market. Every product page here corresponds to a listing that exists, and the specification on it, the size, the shipping weight, the colourway, the SKU code, comes from that listing rather than from a description we wrote.
The reference pages are ours. The footprint index, the room fit tool, the washer fit table, the placement distances and the notes on backing and pile were written here, using the manufacturer's own published figures where they exist and cited outside sources where they do not.
Where the numbers come from
Sizes and weights are the manufacturer's, as published on the listings. Ratings and review counts are the aggregate the retailer shows for a design, and because a single design is sold in dozens of size and colour combinations that all share one review pool, we show that figure once per design rather than repeating it on every variation. Prices change; the price on a product page is the last one we recorded, and the retailer's own page is always the current one.
Where a listing has no active offer, this site shows no price rather than the price of something else. That sounds obvious and it is not: on a page with no buy box, the first price in the markup belongs to a different product, and a catalogue built carelessly will publish a nine by twelve rug at the price of a doormat.
What we do not know
We have not handled every rug in this range, and we do not claim to have. There is no laboratory here and no test rig. Where this site says a thing is so, it is either arithmetic you can check, a figure the manufacturer published, or a source we have named and linked.
Three specific gaps are worth stating plainly. We have no independent slip resistance figure for the backing. We have no textile certification for the face fibre. And we have not tested the backing against vinyl flooring, so the traction page tells you to use a felt pad on vinyl rather than telling you it will be fine.
How the site is paid for
Links from this site to the retailer are affiliate links, and a purchase made through one earns this site a commission at no additional cost to you. That arrangement pays for the site and it is also the obvious reason to be sceptical of anything here, so the material judgements are made to be checkable: the washer fit table is arithmetic on published weights, the placement distances are measurements you can take yourself, and the places where a listing claims more than it can support are named on the page rather than left out.
